Performance & Practicality

The WASP is quiet, shallow-running, and perfect for two to three people fishing the flats, whether you're poling or using a trolling motor. The 12-degree V hull allows smooth entry into the water to cut through chop when crossing open bays and in rough conditions. Hull slap is virtually nonexistent when stalking spooky fish. The tunnel design maximizes water flow to the lower unit and maintains excellent water pressure and handling in extremely shallow water. The low freeboard allows a low profile, making windy conditions easier to manage. Our skiff is designed for stealth and smooth movement through flats.

Beck & David’s Fiberglass have been repairing and refurbishing boats for 16 years and knows what works and what doesn’t. Our experience has shaped the superior design and quality of the WASP 178. Everything is designed for easy access: for maintenance and future installation of components. All hardware is drilled and tapped into Aqua Steel, and the wiring is secured with Weld Mount fasteners throughout.
